Observe o texto a seguir:

Who administered the tithes in the Old Testament?
Luciano Rogerio de Souza

For many, who administered the tithes in the Old Testament, were the priests. This claim made by some pastors and for lack of subject knowledge or interests. In fact the priests who were not managed. Note the following text:
21 And behold, the sons of Levi I have given every tithe in Israel for an inheritance, that run by the ministry, the ministry of the tabernacle. 26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and thou shalt tell them: When you receive the tithes of the children of Israel, I have given unto them for your inheritance, offer them an offering unto the Lord, the tithe of the tithes. 28 So also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel, and they shall give an offering unto the LORD to Aaron the priest (Num. 18. 21,26,28)
As is explicit in the text, the Levites were responsible for administering the tithes. And all the tithes were offered to the Lord an offering that would be the tithe of the tithes, which were directed to the priests. Alias God is spirit, He does not need to eat. But their representatives need.
Therefore, the priests were not ruled the tithes in Israel. For they were not called for such a thing. We aimed to manage the cult and its rituals.
Another important thing about the tithing in the Old Testament, were its goals, which sometimes are not enforced as it should:
28 After three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shall deposit within thy gates: 29 And the Levite, (because no part nor inheritance with thee), and the stranger, the orphan and the widow who are within thy gates, shall come and eat and be filled shall be: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work that your hands do (Dt. 14. 28.29).
The Levites should help the poor, pilgrims, orphans and widows with the tithes of Israel every three years. This purpose is little observed and enforced in many churches that are said of God.
To relieve the poor, orphans and widows, it is pound campaign. Who does not come from tithes deposited in the vaults of the churches. The needy are assisted by offerings of believers who have already decimated. This practice of brothers make another offer for the needy is unbiblical because the tithes must be applied for this. Sometimes the tithes are invested in luxury. And the poor, orphans and widows do not get their party was given by God.
That would be good if the churches had a board, commission or board to administer the entries (tithes and offerings) churches (it is clear that some have already adopted this proposal for a long time). For the custom is to centralize this function in a single person (treasurer). Which are sometimes given directly by the shepherds, which occupy a symbolic position.
Because the shepherds themselves determine everything, that is, they run all the money (the treasurer is reserved only as a counter inputs) without consulting a committee or council. This way they feel comfortable / able to execute their ideas, which sometimes is not necessary, urgent and coherent.
The lack of a council to monitor and inspect the entries of the church ends up creating another: lack of transparency. The power in the hands of an administrator only (pastor / officer), there will be excess, misuse, corruption, ostentation and waste away.
With the implementation of these councils (representing the Levites) will come many blessings or commissions, mainly because spin echoes and rumors about mismanagement of church funds.
Therefore, the first blessing that will occur with the transparency of inputs, these rumors will cease. The second is that transparency will attract all sorts of blessings to the Church of the Lord. For God is transparent and requires transparency. And where there is, He walks away and miracles as well.

¿Quién administra los diezmos en el Antiguo

Testamento?
